Reluctant Aria

Sooooo, late... I actually had a comic in the works for the singing event but life tis life and I've been playing nurse for a sick family member (she's doing better now though! : D ). The first panel could still work as a stand alone piece so I decided to finish it today. Ren isn't a fan of the singing season and will usually take to tucking himself away for awhile until the majority finishes. It reminds him too much of his deceased mate so he tries to avoid it.

An Aria is a piece meant for a single person, so even though he isn't singing that's where that came from : ' ( but don't worry, he'll perk up soon, he's quite a fan of summer ^-^

I was trying to work in the Don't Starve [link] style. I think it was somewhat effective, but too sketchy. It is a sketchy style, but I think I need more solid/varying lines than sketchy ones. I'm also interested in how it would look with brighter colors; it's a darker game. They seemed to fit for this picture though. Very fun game if you like survival or just something out of the ordinary : )
